AKP Adaptive Innovations Project: Project Partners

In 2008-2009, CCHRC brought together several partners to design and construct the first SNC prototype single-family residence, in coordination with the interior Alaska Nunamiut Inupiat Eskimo community of Anaktuvuk Pass (AKP), and the regional housing authority Taggiugmiullu Nunamiullu Housing Authority (TNHA).

The investment in the series of prototype homes (such as AKP), and continued innovation and response to actual performance, technology, and design improvements are part of CCHRC and associated partner’s vision for improving housing for circumpolar people. NREL has provided support for basic performance monitoring of the SNC prototype home in AKP, with support also provided by GW Scientific (GWS).
